Climate Change. Energy and Consumption.

  • Leave the vast majority of fossil fuel reserves in the ground.
  • Stop the use of fracking and ban further oil and gas exploration.
  • Phase out nuclear energy.
  • Generate the energy we need from renewable sources such as wind, solar, tidal and wave energy, to be delivered by not-for-profit, publicly-run energy suppliers.
  • Reduce our consumption and energy use to sustainable levels.

Many links to alternative energy resources are listed under the pages in Action Groups.

Whether you're an employee, manager, or owner, there are many ways to help cut the carbon footprint of your organisation:

  • Easy steps to make your office more sustainable.
  • Great examples and support from Sustainability West Midlands.
  • Grants for new low carbon capital equipment.
  • Advice and training from Groundworks.
  • Campaign for the local electricity bill at Power For the People.
